Editorial Standards

These are the standards every TTweakFlight guide is held to. They exist so you can trust what you read here.

1. Accuracy and sourcing

Our guides are built from reliable sources — climate normals and seasonal data, official tourism and meteorological information, and reputable reference material — not from guesswork. Where a guide makes a factual claim about weather, seasons or conditions, it reflects that research. We aim to be useful and specific without overstating certainty.

2. No fabrication

This is our firmest rule. We do not invent facts. That means no made-up flight or hotel prices, no fabricated “deals” or discount codes, no invented statistics, and no fictional personal anecdotes presented as real experience. If we can’t stand behind something, we don’t publish it. When a topic depends on live data we don’t have, we say so rather than filling the gap with invention.

3. Independence and funding

TTweakFlight is editorially independent. We do not accept payment to feature destinations, and we run no sponsored posts or paid “codes.” We are not affiliated with TravelTweaks or any booking service. If we ever introduce affiliate links or advertising in future, we will disclose it clearly and it will never change the honest conclusion of a guide.

4. Keeping guides current

Travel conditions change. We review and update guides as needed, and each article shows a clear published and updated date so you know how fresh the information is.

5. Corrections

When we get something wrong, we fix it promptly and transparently. See our corrections policy for how to report an error and how corrections are handled.

6. Responsible use of AI

We use software tools, including AI, to assist with research and drafting — but every guide is fact-guided and human-edited before publication, and we do not publish unverified AI-generated claims as fact. The no-fabrication rule above applies regardless of the tools involved.

7. Clear labelling

Opinion, practical recommendation and factual information are written to be distinguishable. Our guides are general information to help you plan — not personalised, professional, medical, legal or financial advice. See our terms & disclaimer.
